## Introduction
Hey, I'm Jonas. I've been building web applications for over 13 years, mostly with PHP, JavaScript, and Go. Right now I'm a Staff Engineer and Team Lead at SCAYLE, where I work on checkout and payments - systems that handle billions in transactions each year. I like solving hard problems and making things that actually work.
## Background
I grew up in Lithuania and moved to Germany a few years back. I've been leading teams since 2016 - helping people grow, planning what we build, and making sure we ship quality code. I've worked on everything from e-commerce platforms to betting systems to CRM tools.
## How I Work
I believe in writing clear code, testing properly, and not overcomplicating things. When leading a team, I try to remove blockers, give honest feedback, and let people own their work. I'd rather ship something solid than chase every new trend.
## Always Learning
Tech keeps changing, and I try to keep up - but I focus on what's useful, not what's shiny. I also enjoy helping others learn. Some of my best moments at work have been when someone on my team figures out something tricky and I got to be part of that.
